Mrs Renee Rassasse
BSc Speech and Language Therapy & Audiology RHAD RCCP HCPC
I was born and raised in Brazil and came to London in 1997 to further my career having completed my degree in Speech Language Therapy / Audiology in São Paulo with specialisation in Clinical Audiology.
Whilst in Brazil I ran a franchise for Philips Hearing Instruments and on arrival in the UK my experience allowed me to rapidly commence my working career here. For the next seven years I worked as an Agency Locum at a number of hospitals. These were The Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, the Charing Cross Hospital and also 150 Harley Street.
In 2005 I accepted an offer to become a permanent staff member at the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust – Charing Cross Hospital as an Adult Audiology Team Leader and later became Clinical Lead.
This position provided me with many duties, particularly the caring of patients with complex needs, acting as the student’s placement supervisor, managing Community Services and ensuring the smooth running of the department. I am pleased to say this has given me a wealth of experience which now holds me in very good stead for my new venture.
During this period I self funded a number of further qualifications, In 2001 the BAAT part I and II course to obtain a British qualification in Audiology and lately I have also become a Hearing Aid Dispenser and an IQIPS assessor for UKAS.
After nearly 18 years of working for the NHS I now feel that it is the right time to challenge myself again and I have set up Real Hearing Audiology Services in order to expand my knowledge and opportunities in this profession about which I am so passionate.
Compassion, empathy, attention to detail, reliability and a strong work ethic are the core values I daily live by. All of these I intend to fulfil in my practice within Real Hearing Mobile Audiology Services.
